Hwiyoung is a South Korean singer, rapper, TV personality, and dancer who is best known for being the sub-rapper of SF9, a boy band formed by FNC Entertainment. He debuted with the group on October 5, 2016, with the release of their first single album, Feeling Sensation, which was placed at number #6 on the Korean Gaon Chart.

On February 6, 2017, SF9 released its first EP titled Burning Sensation, which comprised of tracks such as Youth;tell me what it is, Still My Lady, Roar, and Shut Up N’ Lemme Go. The extended play peaked at number #3 on the Korean Gaon Chart.
With SF9, Hwiyoung released his first studio album, Sensational Feeling Nine, on December 13, 2017, and it was ranked at number #7 on the Oricon chart.
As an SF9 member, he has appeared on a couple of shows like Dance or Band (D.O.B), SF9 Trip with Fantasy, Spectacle Fantasy 9, and Colorful Code 9.
He competed in the 2nd season of the survival hip hop TV show, High School Rapper, in 2018.
