Mike Tyson has slammed the use of steroids in sports where physical confrontation is required, fearing that it could result in death.

Tyson's comments come after Jean Pascal was stripped of his WBA light-heavyweight title after he was found to have used three different performance enhancing drugs in the lead-up to his fight against Badou Jack on June 6.

"I'm not against steroids or none of that stuff because everybody's using it right," Tyson said on the 'Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson' podcast.

"But it shouldn't be used in sports where people are physically fighting.

"If you want to run fast or swim faster, anything except physical confrontation."

"It's criminal. You're going to hit a man, that's attempted murder."
